Would hot sauce on crayons be considered cruel and unusual punishment or an effective deterrent?
Katrixx has started a poll for turkey talk, but we all know that we don't wait patiently through all of those casseroles and food for the turkey. We do it for the desserts that we can only get a few times a year.

This is just a stream of consciousness meant to examine relationships no matter the length as well as analyze how well a child can understand death. It may be rough and raw, but it helped me deal with everything that has been bothering me lately.

A lot of people may think that being young is much easier now than it has ever been. Others know that this isn't the case. The proof lies in the increase of problems that these teenagers face with their own mental health.
Back in the early days of November, I made a comment about a particular student I had my first year of teaching at the high school I am still currently at.

These are all fairly true. I want to hear your thoughts and anything you have to add. I also would love to hear any funny stories that you may have had with your child's teacher, as a teacher or involving school.

This shows that all news doesn't have to be bad. It also demonstrates an honesty that is becoming endangered. Aren't we happy to see some of it survive?

Hey Lissa! I hope you and yours survived the weekend in one piece!! I watched the weather channel all weekend and they were doing a lot of coverage in your state. I hope you are doing well and are safe and still have a roof over your head (that didn't get blown away).
Just stoppin' by to say, good morning, Miss Lissa! Hope you had a good weekend and have an even better week. Talk to ya later! =)

Thanks for the invite. I've read a lot of good stuff from you : )
I think I may be interested in the Vine's opinion on this as well. I think I may write an article on it that explores several of the reasonings that it could possibly be. I know this girl well, and I am aware of her situation, and I am sad to say that it is not unique. It is just that she has had a few more children than most of the girls in the school I teach in.
I know to be exceedingly careful. LOL
It will probably be Thanksgiving break before I actually get it started and posted.
Thanks for the idea and curiosity.
Hi Lissa. You recently mentioned in one of your comments on the thread about the "9-year-year-old girl that got raped on the school bus, that one of your students who is only 19 is already a mother of 5 and counting. I don't know how you personally view this transaction. But to my logics, a 19-year-old girl may not be yet equiped with a potent career" that provides subtantive finacial mean to support herself and the children beyond poverty line. It's either her parents' fiancial status pridely responds to it or State Assistance Grants. However, I sank into meditation ever since I read it from your comment, and I was wondering what could promote such a procreative appetite in a so young individual that should have been rather preoccupied with so many other tasks aiming at building a stronger future. I know I may sound reckless on this, but I'm only trying to see if this could be linked to a social issue. At this age, this woman has contributed more than her fair share to procreation. As we were discussing in the rape story with regard to "ineffective sex teaching at home and in school, would this 19-year-old girl's case be a result of: A) reckless sex abuse; B) Ineffective sex motivation; C) Lack of sex education; D)Poverty-promoted; E) Parents' leniency or negligence' F) Children protection laws;
G) Abence of parental guidance; H) Guarenteed wealth inheritance; I) Lack of spiritual education; J) Lack of self-worthiness ambition; K) Technological impact; L) Too much freedom. I'd like to know what's the "Vine" Society"'s opinion on this issue. So would you write and seed an article on this topic and offer it for discussion. Beware! It's a delicate issue.
